When it comes to breaking a hide, is that what a tumbler drum does?

Tumblers are great tools and are used for much more than just breaking hides.
1. you can dry hides in a saw dust drum
2. you can clean hides with them
3. yes you can also break hides in them.
4. you can even use saw dust and dp. to dp capes.
BUT. I have found you still need to do some breaking by hand
AND. the drum needs to be the right size and turn at the right RPM's
size at least 6 feet tall and 4 feet wide, RPM's 16-18 and you can get plans for one from Rittels hope this helps! joe
