Buffalo mount cleaning

I have a large American Bison shoulder mount and for past 20 years has been subjected to smoke and dust. Of course it has long hair, and need to know the best way to make it like new. Thanks, Fred

Here's what I do

I use 100psi air, and blow out all the dust I can, I blow with the flow of the hair. Next I use laq. thinner misted over the hair and then wiped down to clean the hair further. I clean the eyes with windex. Next I repair any areas needing attention, such as split ears, cracks around the eyes, nose, etc. OLd mounts usually need new epoxy around the eyes and nostrils. Then I repaint the repaired areas. Buffalo horns just need to be wiped clean, sometimes a little wax and a buff job.
