The thinning of the skin is probably the most critical thing around the eyes,,,but for me I only use apoxie sculpt around my eyes...I`ve done over 200 cats in the last 4 to 5 years and can count on one hand how many times I`ve had the eyelid pull away...apoxie makes a big difference in my opinion...if ya go to hidetanning.net you will see one of my articles on mounting a bobcat where I explain this in better detail...best wishes

The most common problem in eye shrikage is not thinning of this .This should be one of the most time taking steps in any mount. The eyes say alot.

Did you pull the skin forward enough. I have seen this so many times where a person mounts up a cat and teh eyes look decent till it dries and because they really didn't spend the time to work the loose skin in the head area they kind of pull it back to the tail. Instead pull that skin forward and taxi that skin around. Good reference will show you that there are many hair patterns on a cat's head. You need to work these out and if you did all of that then your eyes should stay were they belong.
