painting a cat nose with a regular brush

I just mixed some akrilic paints and got a color that I think looks good but I dont know if it would look good since i dont have an air brush and help is apreciated.

don't make it look like it is painted it might be ok. Try to blend it as well as you can. I know guys that refuse to use airbrushes but I think that you would absolutely love an Iwata if you can save up enough money. Good Luck. Dan Hudzik


Dry brush

I use a brush on everything using a dry brush technique. Using a flat stiff brush (I use a stencil brush), I touch just the tip of the brush in the paint then I dab the end onto a piece card board until almost all of the paint is off then I dab the area to be painted. It is a slow process but you actually end up tinting the area instead of "painting " it. You can also easily add highlight color. Very natural affects can be accomplished once you get the hang of it.
