are joe coombs real eyes the ones with the nicitating membrane atatched made of plastic or glass?

I used to get good results with black apoxie sculpt for the nictitating membrane...but I think your question was is it glass...yup...its glass...
Someone else used to carry a plastic eye...thought it was Buckeye but not sure...I tried them but had problems with scratches and hazing...

This is what I do for nictitating membranes in deer.I use the original nictating membranes out of the specimen . Just cut them out as you are skinning out the specimen and place them in a bottle of denatured alcohol. When mounting the specimen and when you get to the eyes take out of the denatured alcohol and trim to fit and lay on hard surface and tap with hammer to thin them down, don't hit to hard they will split, do one at a time so they don't dry out before you get them in place in the groove in the form you cut for them. Some times you will have to readjust after specimen is dry and ready to be finished.

i was worried about plastic hazing but since there made of glass ill get some.im going to use them on my personal deer.
