I thawed a cape out and it stinks something terrible. Is there anything I can do to fix that?

keep a supply on hand for such times as this
hard to say about the cape you have now
you could try and rough flesh real quick and salt

also look on the site www.whitetailsystems.com
do some research on the case history on there
