Stain does not work well with the Magic sculpt or apoxie sculpt. You need to try artist oil paints. What I do is get some off white paint (Spray can or airbrush paint) and spray the area to match the rest of the antlers. Sometimes, its best to just spary the whole set of antlers. Then, I take the artist oil paint (I use burnt umber) and I thin it with mineral spirits and brush it on the antlers. Let it dry and then begin rubbing it off until you get the effect you are looking for. You might have to build these coats up to get the right effect. When you get it like you want it, let it dry real good and spray the entire rack with Krylon Matte Finish.

in Taxidermy Today where alcohol was used and chalk scrapings to stain antlers done with magic sculpt. There's a lot on this in the archives as well use the orange search.
