i have a couple of salt dried deer rumps i was planning on using krowtan to tan, whats the best way to rehydrate them before putting them in the krowtan solution, thanks

no need to rehydrate
soak them in water, use i cup salt for every gallon of water mix in. use just enough water to to cover the hide.
