I am new to the hunting and skinning of big game. I am wondering what a cape and a hide is. What are the differences and the similarities between the two.

the cape is from the brisket up and including the face, ears, lips, and nose. the hide refers to the neck down with out the feet. a back hide is the from the brisket down without the feet and a L/S hide is the whole skin with feet and face, eyes, lips, and nose. Joe
