on white tail and small game i use the ones that come on the form. I cut them off just behind the nosterls, with a hand saw, and get out your dremmel tools and your referance and go at it. When you are done take a hot glue gun and reput the nose back on cut youl lip slot and it is good as new. If you mess it up you can always use apoxie scaulpt to correct any error or worse case scenero you have to buy a replacement nose.... good luck

Get used to using the real nose

I've seen more beginners who've screwed up otherwise nice pieces by trying to use artificial noses. The transition to the artificial nose is tricky, even for an experienced taxidermist. Ryan gave you some very good information on cutting the form and using clay to clay in your nose.

Artificial noses have their place, but I like to use the real thing. John Belucci I think once said...Why cut off a perfectly good nose.
