i use dry-pre, heavy winter hair buck, its been over two weeks,
the buck is dry, but at the bottom of the chest, i still can pull hair off, its not falling off, but i can still pull some hair, does this buck need more drying time or is this cape starting to go bad?
or what can i do to save the mount? everything else is very well dry.
whatz up?

Bottom of the chest

It sounds like that part isn't dry yet. Using dry preserve it may take
that area a bit longer to dry the some of the moisture in the cape may
be running down into the chest area. Let it dry some more and don't pull
the hair any more. It may be dry and you are breaking the hairs off and
not actually pulling them out.

It's not dry yet. The moister migrates to the lower section. Rotate it, put a fan on it and STOP PULLING ON THE HAIR !

Did you use an adhesive? If you did, it may have gathered at the bottom of the cape and is taking longer to dry or needs pushed out through the back of the cape. NEVER pull hair to test. A light brushing will usually tell the story. Jeff F.
