Hello, forgive the newb but can someone give me a quick description of how to skin a squirrel in a way which maintains the pelt so I can make a small bag out of it?

but it all depends what kind of bag you want.
Slit from one rear ankle to the other passing under the anus, then skin out from there, like turning a sock inside out. You won't need another hole, and all you have to do is sew the face holes(mouth eyes ears) up and hem the little slit you made to skin it and you would have a bag already. After you tanned it of course. After you skin it rub salt into the flesh side then hang or lay on an incline and let it drain, or freeze right away.
Or and incision down the belly, and you would have your bag after tanning and such.
