air brush spitting

my air brush keeps spitting. I got a new #1 needle & changed it out, but that did'nt fix it. I have a pasache vl.Should I step up to a new better brush. Help...I have fish to paint & it gives me trouble with the spitting on open mouth work as well.Thanks in advance.

thin paint

I had trouble with mine spitting also, thinned paint and have not had that problem since, give it a try, it may work for you also.


Air Pressure

Sounds like you are not using enough air pressure to atomize the paint and get a good mist. Turn up your pressure. It might also be that you are not pushing the button all the way down. With the vl you adjust your paint by pulling back more or less but you should always paint with the button all the way down, full air.

Do you have a water seperator?
