From what I have read here on the forums I say yes. But I am sure you will get an answer from a fellow PA taxidermist. Paul Czarnecki would be a good one to check with.

As of now yes

Though things are in the process of being changed and there's no guarantee on this either.
So in a nut shell, you still need a permit to pratice taxidermy.
We never had a License, only permits.

So I need a permit just to do taxidermy as a hobbie? :/

Let me clarify what Frank means. You do not need a permit to do taxidermy for yourself. You can mount your own personal trophies and purchase skins and birds to mount for yourself. Currently you CAN NOT do taxidermy for others without a permit, hobby or professionally, for fee or free.

PA check your association

PA has a taxidermy association. Get on the Taxidermy Net Home and click on the association scroll down to the state and check it out, maybe they can answer you.
