fish skinning

when skinning a fish out to mount do you remove the bone by the gill cover (clethrium?) thanks.i checked the orange button but couldn't find what i was looking for.

The answer to your question is no. I myself only do the fill method on all my fish. You can trim as much away ass you can, but be careful the skin is just on the other side. I have used mannicans for fish as well. I just do not like the idea that you can't hardly get the exact body of the fish your going to do. I pour a half cast of the fish with plaster, then fill the fish later. either way, I had never removed that bone. Only trimmed what I could.Hope that helps a little.
