why not rehydrate the feet they have?

I've been doing this for quite some time, and to date, have yet to see a pair of feet that couldn't be rehydrated....

When you sit the bird out to thaw, wrap the feet in a very wet wash cloth. The next morning when you are ready to skin, using as small a hyodermic as possible start injecting warm water into the toes and ball of the foot. Skin the bird as usual. After skinning, inject again if need be..

You may have to repeat the injection process a few times until the feet limber up and plump back to thier original state. Generally speaking by the time you have washed and dried the bird and are ready to mount the feet are as good as new.
