I'm trying to cast a centipede in polyester casting resin, and the results have come out just "okay". It seems that the centipede's legs start off lying flat, but during curing the legs curl inward. We have tried resin-ing it shortly after it dies so we can pose it. Also, the curing makes the centipede turn a rather "cooked" color with an icy layer around it. Any suggestions on how to dry a centipede in Hawaii's climate without having the legs curl inward, and any thoughts on keeping the original color when casting it? sorry if this question sounds completely elementary; we're only beginners. Mahalo!
