I have looked through the archive and I have not found the answer. How can I make artifical whiskers for an albino domesticated ferret?

I just typed in "artificial whiskers" (without the quotes) after hitting the SEARCH icon and I found 11 entries. About half of them gave methods of making artificial whiskers from wire to monofilament to Weedeater string.
As they say in my neck of the woods: "now lad, don't be t'wazzock".
What is the secret to making the nylon not shrivel up in the flame, I looked through but obviously did not quite cotton on to the content. There certainly is a lot of info for making catfish whiskers but I think they are too big for what I require. The fertet whiskers are really fine but non-pointy ones will look odd. George thank you for pointing out the search results but I had seen them. What is weedeater string.

And I never heated it. I always took the mono and used fine sandpaper on it to shape it like I wanted.
