Removing coyote smell from tanned hide?

I just read a recent post stating how to remove skunk smell and was wondering if this is an all around good recipe for removing any type of odors from all ready tanned hides? The recipe I speak of is as follows:

1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
1/4 cup baking soda
1 teaspoon liquid soap
Mix ingredients in a plastic bucket and wash affected object.

I have a coyote skin that was tanned with Krotann 2000. I just took it out of the freezer for mounting and would like to make sure the odor is totally gone before mounting.
After reading what I could on the archives there are so many different methods such as soaking in Diluted Downy, spraying with Frabreeze, using just baking soda as a deordorizer...etc. I'd like to make sure what ever I do the hide won't be harmed and the odor will be thoroughly gone. I would plan to wash with above recipe, rinse well, let hang for a few hours and then proceed with mounting. So the above recipe is good to go? Or is there a different formula for tackling different types of odors?
Thanks so much... This website is a godsend.

Got great news for you:
I got 2 beautiful Coyote Hides with a very strong and nasty smell from the tanning process. I didn't know what to do so I did my research in the NET and I found some information that I place here for everybody's help, IT WORKS TRUST ME!
I was going to try to get rid of the strong smell in the coyote hides with DOWNY Fabric Softener to see if this would work.
I cut off a piece from the hides and I washed with DOWNY... The smell went away as well (only 80% of it).
Well, after I did this process I try COFFEE in the 2 Coyote Hides, I got grind coffee; I place the coyote hides with grind coffee all over in and out side and I place them in a plastic bag for 4 days.... (I don't think they need 4 days) and after that... MAGIC!
The strong and nasty smell totally disappear, it just went away!
Before I did this,
But with the Coffee process the smell went away 100%. NO SMELL AT ALL!
Well, I guess we learn something different every day, don't you think?
Now I can work with them.
Hope this help you as much as it helped me.
The best of luck!
