In John Bellucci's advanced squirrel mounting video he uses a fine tow for wrapping the legs. I ordered some wood wool from Van Dykes and found it was much a coarser product than was used on the video. Ive been told that Van Dykes carries both wood wool and tow but i cant find the tow ( fine grade ) that john used. anyone know where this finer product is availible. thank you for your time

Page 267 has wood wool, jewelers grade. Not sure if this is what you already ordered but it's there.
used to be made from Jute, Hemp, or Flax fibers. You might check places like http://www.Hemptrader.com. They sell a material that looks to be very similar to jeweler's tow...about as fine as cotton batting from what I can see...Hope this helps

the correct URL is http://www.hemptraders.com. Check on the internet also for jute tow, flax tow, and hemp tow.

Research Mannikens sells an extra fine, jewelers grade excelsior that may work for you.
