I'm interetsed in learning to do reproduction fish mounts. I would apprecaite opinons regarding schools/classes and or the names of recommended individuals who teach it.

Thanks,
Mike

if you purchase a form(I would start with WYNIA or REALFISH) open up and ask as you go along. First question should be to whom ever provides the form and that question should be.. when was this original mold made and what condition is the final product going to be. You see, they become somewhat worn after yrs of casting and they sometimes patch them (very noticable to me anyway) then tool down the fins, flashings, etc. ( a foredom tool and bits work great for this) It's not hard if you aproach it in steps. the fins are first connected with hot glue to place them, then ultimaletly feathered in permanantly using magic=smooth or some other type of gunk! this is what I use though.( this is what i do but there no doubt thousands of different techniques) If you get this far just write in again and ask ... YOU SO SHALL RECIEVE! but to pay? That is out of the question as far as I am concerned. you will only be as good as your teacher and the artist that lies within may be able to do much better than he/she. Good luck!

Check the Workshop/schools page

Baiter It could be that Mike is looking for someone to teach him how to mold a fish rather than purchase the prefab stuff. Mike look in the workshop page you should find someone there that can handle your needs. Why waste time and money trying to have someone explain it over the net. Take a workshop --shorten the learning curve.
