My boyfriend is a diesel technician, and found a bat carcass in the grill of a truck. Temperatures can get extremely high in there, and the body looks some what "baked". I would like to keep the bat, but need to know what steps I need to take to protect it. HELP!

Freeze it immediately first off or it will be no good at all. Then send it to a freeze dryer to see if it is in good enough shape to work with.
BUT Bats are protected in most states and you cant really mess with them too much, so I would check reg first.
