I am just getting started in this profession and I do not under stand the difference between puffed and powdered borax. If anyone could help me it would be very much appreciated.

Puffed borax is more puffier and courser than the powdered which is real fine ground.
Ken Edwards describes it as popped popcorn and unpopped popcorn. The puffed borax is lighter and "corkier" which allows for better water absorbtion.
just use 20 mule team borax this will work for every thing
