I'm just a novice only done about 10 whitetail. I have fixed many hole in the ears. However Last night I managed to ripe about 2 inches along the outside edge of the ear. How can I fix this and it not be noticable.

Tony, I pretty much glue most holes in ears with a thick superglue. On a long hole like that it's best to apply some sort of backing like dryer sheets or even a fine mesh like tulle. When you're done and the ear is dry, if any superglue leaked through on the finished side, then I just wipe with superglue remover.. good luck
i love the stuff
espesially for the problem you just stated
beginners especially have this problem of tearing the edge
the ear magic is similar to the bondo method
try it and youll see you can even leave alot of the smaller rips
un sewed
p.s. if you using a big pair of ear liners
try griping a little shorter on the handle
or (take a breath now) cut the handles down
you dont need all the leverage on deer sized animals
look up the ear magic in the archives
you wont be dissapointed
good hunting

Take the time and sew it up. Use a fine needle, and the wifes sewing thread, 1/16 " loops on the very edege of the rip. It will look as if it never happened when you are done.
