Leslie, we don't brain tan for taxidermy

For our line of work, it's an inferior method. And not being catty, but you might better get cracking if you plan on doing it. With the CWD epidemic and states taking very aggressive actions on the use of wild game brains and spinal columns, I suspect your days may be numbered. Pig and Cow brains

Although wild game brains can be used most people that I know like to use pig brains for brain tanning. Also eggs can be used as a brain substitute. Elk skins are alot of work to brain tan, but it can be done.
