I tanned a bobcat hide to mount in my shop. I noticed a foul smell coming from the hide. When I turned it right side out, the hair and pads on the feet are coming off. The rest of the cape is fine. This is a large male cat and the guy was pretty proud of it. Can you mount the hide and replace the feet with feet from another cat?

yes, you can. Bobcat paws are pretty cheap too. Just cut the bad feet off, and sew in the new paws, making sure that front goes with front, left with left, right with right, rear with rear, and the spots all line up.
Also ask for the same color.
