Hello, I am very, very new to taxidermy, and thought it would be a fun, and interesting thing to learn. While I haven't gotten a deer this season (though I will give it my best tom) I would like to know the first steps in taxidermy. Anyone who could help me would be greatly appriciated. Thanks

very generic question! This forum is loaded with the info you need! Check out the orange search button on the left of the page, it's that simple. But you MUST type in a detailed question for exe. "how to cape a buck" or "After skinning" Then when you get the answer you want (maybe not the one you need) you can ask another question like "How to turn ears lips noses" or "After salting" You will get days of good reading! I would also recomend a "kit" or some books/videos from the suppliers link above. Hope this info helps ya out! Joe

Louis,

I'm new at this also, but have been on this site for a couple of weeks. I learned REAL quick that the archives are LOADED with good info that will most likely answer your questions. Just takes a few minutes to look it up.

If you want to compare some notes, feel free to shoot me an e-mail. Good luck to ya!
