eye colors for WT

Can anyone tell me what colors i should be using for WT eye.
Im using Lifetone/Hydro mist but it looks like im missing something
just cant figure out what.Thought about going to Polytranspar Lacquer paint.Going crazy guessing. Thanks for any help

I use Cocoa Brown and dark brown over that,more around the eyelids.


Hydro mist / Life tone

Is their much differents in Life Tone and the Hydro mist.

Right now im using Natural flesh, Rich brown , dark brown, off white.

simply cocoa Brown. Hydromist, but I do not try to completely cover the dark brown left when the hide dries. Rather mist the gray tones of the cocoa brown onto it. Tenbears, tough me to do this. And when I took the Pa. test. Paul C. commented how much he liked the results. so I guess it is a keeper. Sorry TB just gave away one of your trade secrets.

learn to layer and blend your paints, i use 4 different colors for my finish work on deer heads, starting with white for a base. note: nothing needs to be painted heavy. Simply put one color will not give you the life like appearance of a live deer no matter how hard you try. Bill Yox had an article in the breaktrhough issue 59? that was very good on painting a white tail.
