I was just out on a bottom fishing trip and caught some Horn Dog Sharks and as we gutted them 2 of them had pups that I wanted to keep to show my children. I would like to preserve them in a mason jar however formaldehyde is not easy to come by, I was told that I could us Denatured Alcohol. Just wondering if this is the best thing or does anyone have a recommendation.

I have a bull calf that I put in a jar of denatured alcohol four years ago. It still looks as good as the day that I put it in there other than the fact that it turns an off white color.
I have stuff in a bottle of denature alcohol for 20 + years and they are still fine . You just have to change the liquid once a year or so . Rick
