Just wondering if they are legal to "taxiderm"...
Nothing in the archives about legality.
Found a city pidgeon with a broken wing in my old high-school's yard, now he's wingbound and in a box in my garage (safe from cats and hawks).
If he heals, I'll set him free, if he dies... bird mount?

There are 4 species of birds you are allowed to kill legally without any sort of licenses. European Starling, House Sparrow, and Pigeon, the 4th escapes me right now...
In some citie though, it's against the city's law to kill pigeons, sparrows, etc. so check the muny codes.
Rescuing the pigeon is noble. Try your best.
If it dies, it will make a very pretty mount, especially if it's a male with the flashy neck feathers.
Pigeons are also edible. Would not recommend eating a 'wild' (feral) one though, could have parasites.
