When skinning out bear paws is it correct to sever the "finger" right thru the last joint prior to the claw? Thanks. Chuck

Bears are skinned down to the last joint. That joint holds the claw and is left in place for the mount. You simply cut the tendons holding that last joint in place to remove the claw intact attached to the skin.

Thanks George

That's what I thought, but I wanted someone to confirm it. Thanks Chuck
