Fleshing and Shaving question

Submitted by bevo on 11/26/05 at 11:52 PM. ( ) 66.90.155.88

To begin, I searched but the returns were about 25 pages and not specific enough in response.

My understanding of fleshing is that i am removing the muscle, fat, and then that thin membrane stuff.

When you shave, are you shaving off the thickness of the cape? How much is just right and not too much. One of the responses said until you see blue hairs--this sounds like a lot.

thanks

shaving is cutting down the leather. properly cured skins will show a blue color tint on the dark hair areas when it is down all the way.if you want to experiment, test an unneeded piece and go lightly.
