1st. Air brush

Submitted by Jon on 11/29/05 at 1:53 PM. ( ) 68.253.247.245

The wife is hinting around to buy me my first air brush so I can back off on the hand painting. I do mainly birds and lots of habitat/artificial rocks ect. Looking for suggestions since there are ton to choose from. Not looking to spend a ton and not to cheap-middle of the road for the amount of work I do.
thanks

The H-5 single action is a good one to start with. It is easy to use and it is a very affordable airbrush. You can buy the kit that has the airbrush, color cup, two bottles, bottle hanger, wrench, 6ft hose and a few other things that I can not remember for around 55.00 or so. Good luck

I reccomend the paashe vl

Although the H5 is a good single action brush, I think it is worth the extra $10-20. The double action is a great feature and offers ease of use. If you are looking to spend a little more yet, the paashe millenium is awesome! The Iwata HPBC is probably the best in the business. It's expersive, but worth every penny.

I have a couple of Paasches myself, but I really like my Aztec. My mom used to do photographic touch-up work and swears that the Iwata is the best. Someday I might try it, but for now I'll keep my Aztec. BP
