Is a 32mm eye to large for a WT form that is 6 3/4 eye to nose and 17" neck measurements. Reason for asking is McKenzie 8000 form recommends 32mm while almost all their other forms with 6 3/4 eye to nose recommend 30mm. Van Dyke's 6 3/4 eye to nose WT forms all recommend 28mm.
Thanks for your previous answers to my other WT form questions.

Joe Mc, I would keep some extra pairs of 28,30,&32 on hand. Some young deer can get pretty robust in the neck during the rutt yet eye size might be small. There just is no sure neck size to match a certain eye. I'd say for our NC deer most deer killed in November with necks as small as 17" (meat measurement over the atlas)would be 30mm. If the 17" neck was on a deer taken in September it would be a 32mm since this buck would be much larger given it was taken prior to the rutt. When skinning out deer think about the natural eye and compare the eyes of different aged bucks if you have the opportunity. When it comes down to it you use what looks closest to what you see in your reference photos.
Now, as for recomendations by the suppliers- each form is modeled for a certain type eye- not the one you choose to use perhaps so you have to modify the eye socket sometimes. Enjoy, Aaron H.
