Alright everone , I have read alot and learned alot from you so here is my question . If you had the money , resources , and say 650 sq. feet , then what equipment would you purchase for a small 1 man operation out of your own home ? Keeping in mind that I will probably tan in house for more then one reason .

Thank-you all

good lighting
workbench to go with the lighting
big tub and work sink(great for washing and salting)
bench grinder and good drills and hand tools
variuos containers for pickling ans soaking and tanning(plastic)
good mounting stand that tilts every which way
good air compressor(insulated shed around it)
Van Dyke pro flesher-you can set the guards to shave close on the bottom for the tight spots and take bigger swipes further up the blade with the same setup)awesome machine
knives and scalpels
big 6 or 7 foot diam. tumber
washing machine to spin out capes
area just for painting with ventilation and lighting
now that should cover the big stuff
but
whatever the critter your going to mount up
id research and have good reference with pictures and videos
research cast of ears ,nose, eyes etc.
a good t.v. and dvd and vcr are handy whether your a pro or just
starting
thats probably enough to get you in trouble
good luck paul e

on what mark said and if you have the wall space, wall hung open organizing bins are a god send for easy organizing and keeping clutter off tables and cabinet shelves!

I would

start small and only buy stuff as I needed it. Forgive me if I am wrong but it sounds like you are just jumping into this whole thing. Start with the basics and then you will immedietly see what you need. If you feel as though you need a flesher for example, come on the forum and research different types and gather opinions. I do not mean to be a kill joy, but doing it this way will keep you from spending money foolishly.
