You are going to need a 5hp at the least for the mini-flesher at the min. I at one time tryed to get away with a 2hp and that did not even come close to running the airtool for more then 2 minutes. By the way the mini-flesher is a great tool once you get the hang of using it. The cape has to be on a flat surface and do not try to take a deep cut. Frank

I have to disagree...

Sorry Frank. Not trying to be a smart alec, but I have a 2hp compressor and it runs my mini flesher fine. It has plenty of power. The mini flesher runs fine doesn't bog down. It is an old compressor, that someone gave me, he used to use it in a service station. I had to replace the motor. But for $120 I have a good compressor.
That being said I would recommend getting the biggest compressor that you can afford and you can also get a regulator, with two stations, set one for whatever and set the other for your airbrush. Hope it helps.

One thing to keep in mind with a compressor is not always about horse power but more about tank capacity.
