First red fox

Hello I purchased 2 videos on mounting small animals and I think I am ready to try a red fox. Can anyone tell me what position would be the best for a beginer. I was thinking maybe just the sitting position. Also would you always take the nose to tail measurement in the posion that it will be mounted? Thanks in advance!

Sitting poses are alot more difficult than say a simple walking pose..making the correct releif cuts in the manikin can be tricky--especially on a fragile little ol fox..McKenzie`s makes a nice looking pose where the fox is looking back with his front left paw off the ground. That would be a great starter pose...just my two cents..good luck

feel free to e-mail me if you need some help along the way...
