I have done absolutely no taxidermy work at all...I mean nothing....I am very interested and only have a very very old how to book that is about 200 pages long and only has drawn pictures. I am about to start ordering some video's.. I have the WASCO and McKenzie Supply catalogs...I have a friend who use to do the work that is willing to help me get started but i want to know a little bit before I start with him. He wont be helping me until fall of 2006. He will be retiring then. Any way are there any video's or manuals that anyone has found to be more helpful than others. Any and I do mean any information will be helpful.

It sounds like any video will help you if you have no input now. One or two videos will not make you a taxidermist, you will need several. You have two catalogs in you're hands now, and both have tapes or dvd's for beginners. Start there. Dennis Behn has a great one on Whitetail mounting basics in the McKenzie book. The two companies you mentioned have great reference materials, no junk, best available and tailor made for you. Don't freak on the cost, you can always sell them later after you become a pro.
