temp. for salting

What does the temp. have to be to dry out the hides is having them in a garage with a fan on them ok.

Yes that's good.I have salted them from 90 degrees above to 30 degrees below zero.Direct sunlight is not good,but otherwise you should be OK.

I have had problems in warm weather, no problems in cool or cold. Things rot faster, the warmer the temp.
