Well George was right... Bears suck! Just finished my first and may I add, only Bear for a buddy! They are a damn grease mess. George said it best... everyone should try it once! Just don't have the right tools for this, got a lot of time in it. Damn man, my back hurts!LOL.

Just finished tanning my first bear and I used the power washer to clean the fat off. I have to say my back doesn't hurt at all. Now, you have to hang plastic and wear saftey glasses to keep the water and fat from getting in your eyes, but I'd rather do that than have to contend with beam fleshing.
Try it if you have space and a power washer.
Has nothing to do with the name. But I love to do bears. Be it shoulder, Half body full body or rug. Once you get accustom to them they are a piece of cake. I can turn and flesh a full body bear In less time than it takes to do a whitetail cape. and there are so many poses for bear, each one is like a different animal. The imagination that goes into developing an attitude for the bear, and a habitat to bring it all to life is what keeps the enthusiasm up. I could do them every day. oh wait I do. LOL
