Can you just use JB Weld for the welds?

i dont know if i would use that. i remember a guy used it for cracks on a broken steering wheel at work and now its all broken up again. now if your gonna be mounting things like elk or just moving it around a lot im sure it will eventually brake apart if it even holds in the first place.im not sure if jb weld is more intended for bonding things as much as it is for sealing things, but what do i know.lol.
They charge up here like its GOLD. Maybe super glue.. (LOL)

JB weld is a temporary fix, it does not weld, and it is just an epoxy. I am sure if you go to church, somebody there has a welder that can hook you up. On the other hand, check out the shop class at a high school. Another place to check, any good-sized farmer repairs everything they got should have a welder in the tool shed. Good luck finding a farm in the UP.
That goop is great as a filler or to rebuild something that needs the be re-tapped or machined (in most cases it is just a temporary fix) but it is not that strong as far as bonding and strength goes. A real weld is the way to go. Brazing might also work depending on what part you are fixing.
That'll work !
Mr T is right all us farmers have welders. I got a wire feed, a buz box, and a tig unit. use them all the time round here. Now iffin you would like to drop by I'd be happy to get one of the boys to fix ya up. they need the practice.
