You need to stop right there. Birds can be challenging. If you want to do one you need to make sure you have the right tools and some kind of idea as to what is involved in the process of skinning, prepping, mounting one. Do you have any videos of a instructor or a seminar that you have been watching. Do you have scalpels, borax or preservative, clay form of some sort, eyes, tow, thread, needle, paint, reference pictures, degreaser or wire wheel flesher, super glue, push pins of some sort, neck material, wire for the wings and legs, and the list goes on. I am not by any means an expert but that is the basics. Do you know what pose you want? Do you have a bird in mind? If you do not have any tools or videos, please get some and watch the video several times. They will show or tell you the basics and what tools and materials you will need. If you do not like my answer you can use the orange search button to the left. Good Luck

James,
It would seem like a relativly decent start. I've read a book or two on how to do a bird. I'd like to, instead of buying a pre made form, make my own exelsior wrapped form(which I have read about and done with mammals). I have everything that you have listed (exept a wirewheel flesher and a degreaser[can you make either one?] and more. Thanks.
