Does anyone know if you can buy commercial rat forms? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks

Sorry RD couldn't help myself( I will tell you how I would handle one of your little furry friends, it would be one of two ways. I would either hand wrap a body, pretty simple once you do it one time. Or I would carcas cast the rodent body and treat the legs, neck and head, like a duck. I can't give you precise direction to either method because I have only done them once each. but Breakthrough this month had a article on some type of bird, where the body was made by carcas casting, i haven't got to it yet. you could call them and buy that printing its issue #81. they may even have some older prints that give more detailed instructions on carcas casting if you ask. Hope that helped some thats just what popped into my head. You can also have them freeze dried but I would mount them instead. you could also check out the archives to see if anyone else has asked that question before.

Dont throw all that styrofoam packing crap away! After skinning place your carcass on the table and carve exactly what you see there. Nothing really to it. You will need a little clay for the feet and such. Ive done it. Good Luck
