I am 16 and I have never tanned anything before. I caught a coon this morning and I'm planning on buying one of the rittles tanning kits. I skinned the coon and left it laying flat in 2 plastic bags in the freezer. It will probably be about a week or two before I get the kit. Is there anything I need to do to the skin in the mean time? One more thing, do the kits cove degreasing the skin? Thanks!

You need to flesh the fat off the coon. As far as degreasing it i would use Tannery Degreaser Sold by McKenzie or WASCO
