Sizing deer hooves for gun racks

I may not be using the orange button right but I cannot get the info that I am looking for. In the catalog they are only labeled ad small, medium and large. How do you tell what the size you need to buy the form? Do I just need to buy all three sizes to be able match them?

Thank you for any and all help.

Bob,
I am looking at a McKenzie book so don't know which yo are using, but...
they have a measurement of Length (if the hoof is already attached to a panel it and it is bent up at the joint..the length is from the panel {whether or not you use a ferrule} to the end of the joint..that is the outside of the bednded joint) and then the height meaning the length of the last section not including the hoof. or from the bottom of the joint to the end of the bone. And I say end of bone because there is another section of bone cartilage that attaches to the hoof you do not measure. So I am guessing you would measure the bone you cut out of the hoof. So for them the SMALL is 4 5/8(L) x 2 5/8(H). MEDIUM 4 3/4(L) x 2 3/4(H). LARGE 4 3/4(L) x 3(H) and then they have XLarge which would probablly be a pretty good size deer 5(L) x 3 1/8(H). Hope this helps. Sue

Bob, it's just easier to buy all three

Even after all these years and going from those crappy stumps to the anatomically correct ones offered in McKenzie from Buckeye, I still just keep 3 sets of them. Eventually you'll find that some fat deer have short feet and some skinny deer have long ones. I don't bother with measuring, I just pick up one and see if it fits.

Thank you
