For 9.99 you get a 9.99 air brush. Yes you can make due with it if you are a beginner. but to be honest you will go through 6 of them in a year. for 59.99 you can buy a pasche H kit with line, Jars, extra tips, and needles. that will last years. and when it needs repair. you can easily repair it
Those things in Harbor Freight are those old hobby Badger's they used to sell for $15 years ago. They're external mix (which is good) but all that plastic and chintzy metal can't be replace, repair, or cleaned very well. Just invest in the "H" kit and you'll be so much happier.
The air compressor is also out. This is a dinky little diaphram compressor that will run constantly and drive you nuts with the buzzing sound. They have one in there with a 2 gallon tank on it and it sells for $89. I have one of those I keep around for show seminars and doing air nailing around the house when I can't run an air line from my big shop compressor. It's a very quiet unit and it will do many jobs in and around a shop (It WON'T run one of those silly Mini-Fleshers however). That combo could last you as long as you do taxidermy work, but I'm sure if you stick with it, you'll want a bigger and better compressor down the road. (I still swear by my "H" airbrush).
Those guys are truly right. I was at Harbor... and bought some Gravity fed cup guns for a job I had. The kid at the counter asked if I wanted to buy the extended warranty. I smiled and laughed a little bit declining. I told him that If they would get me through the sign I was painting that I wasnt even going to clean them and throw them away. I will send you that little airbrush kit for free if you want to struggle along learning it. I had picked one up along the way in a bulk buy. You want it... let me know. I bet you could get some small services out of it. I would hate for it to scare you off the hobby though. Good Luck
