Someone just ask a similar question but I just wanted to make sure I understood right. I'm going to be making a coon skin cap. Is it ok if the tail has only been heavily salted and not tanned? I just wanted to make sure! Thanks

I always use a small paint brush and work some oil in the tail. It helps if you poke a hole in the end of the tail with a wire. This will help the moisture excape.
