A dove is one of the most advanced mounts you'll ever have to encounter. Most of us avoid them like the plague. Recall how when you shoot one, feathers fly everywhere? Recall picking up a downed bird and the feathers stick to your hands and in your shooting vest? Well, imagine all that having already happened and now you're trying to skin it out without tearing that tissue thin skin. Once you've done that, now you have to wire it up. So having the options you presented, trust me, the squirrel is a no brainer.
Pheasent. They are cheap and easy to get. Better than both.
could I get a Pheasent. I live in Arkansas.
Someone in your area is sure to raise them. Check around. Good luck !
I passed up 3 Eastern Grey Squirrels on the road just yesterday. I'm afraid if I bring one home my husband will want to mount anotherone like footballplayer shhhheeeeshhh!
Squirrels are e z er.
George, that was good. I'd have to agree with that. BP
try the for sale catagory, should be $10-25 depending on size and quality.
If one was going to mount a squirrel for their first animal would you suggest one of those all inclusive kits(form, dp, etc.) or would you buy the form and all the necisarry tools seperately? Thanks.
