Ok has any of you usesed oxcilic acid to pickle a hide ?
I have some just wanted to have some input. what sould the ph be?

Kyle , I use Oxalic Acid exclusively for my pickle solution.Saline content should be a minimum40%,Ph of 1.5% is optimum.NEVER let ph get above 2.0.I highly recomend investing in a salinometer and digital ph meter(I feel test strips for ph are a little too vauge).Keep an eye on the ph ,as it will most likely creep up over the first few days.

I thought oxalic acid pickles were hard to KEEP below 2.0 at all. I THINK I remember that from someplace.
