Take It.... In my opinion they are much better. If it is a chest freezer all the more better. I've had thing in my chest freezer for years and no problems. My frost free show signs of freezer burn in a few months and I double wrap everything.
Good luck, TR

A frost free freezer uses a lot more electricty. You do need to defrost it once a year.

will keep longer in a non-frost free freezer. The frost free type suck all the moisture out of everything. BP

Definately the old ones

The frost free types (and you can buy new ones that ARE frost free)are much better, as I understand it, because they maintain the same temp constantly while the frost free changes temps to keep it frost free. Learned this from a fella thats in the meat business for 20 plus years.

Look it over

Either will work for you. Make sure its plugged in and working when you look at the old one, alot of times the freon leaks out if its
not plugged in.The freon makes them corode pretty fast and they are
expensive to fix, you just end up hauling someone elses junk away.
